To get into blogging, I thought it would be nice to begin with a tag!
1. I haven't always been a reader. I never used to read as a kid, I started getting into reading when I was around 13/14.
2. The books that made me fall in love with reading were the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman
I love the worlds he created and exploring a multiverse is so fascinating!
3. My favourite genre is High Fantasy!
I love exploring new worlds. Anything to save me from reality.
4. Before discovering booktube & bookstagram, I only read sparingly. It wasn't until this year I started reading all the time. Joining the bookstagram community really help me find new books to read and reignited my love of reading.
5. I am not a fan of classics. I find them really hard to get into, though there are lots of classics I want to read. So far I haven't like many that I've read.
6. Some of my favourite authors are Brandon Sanderson, Sarah J Maas, Maggie Stiefvater & Rick Riordan. Is it obvious I'm a huge fantasy fan?
7. My fictional crush is Rhysand. I mean, can you blame me? *Swoon* Sarah J Maas has a gift for writing dreamy (fae) males.
8. I judge books by their covers. I'm not ashamed of judging books by their cover, who wants to own ugly books!? I am forever buying books because they look pretty. Oops.
9. I am a sucker for the chosen one trope. I can't help it. I think it's from secretly wanting to be the chosen one for something, anything, I wanted an exciting childhood.
10. Probably the most shocking thing about me. I have never read Harry Potter. I also have no plans to read the series either. I know, I know, everyone's childhood favourite. I never read the books as a kid nor did I see the films. I saw the first film when I was around 12ish and I hated it.
